Mogadishu (HOL) — The Somali Relief and Development Forum (SRDF) has officially rebranded as Zamzam Foundation UK, solidifying its partnership with Somalia’s largest charity to enhance humanitarian aid and development programs for the country’s most vulnerable communities.

The rebranding, which was announced after last year’s partnership agreement, is designed to amplify fundraising efforts for orphan care, education, emergency aid, and sustainable development in Somalia. SRDF trustees believe the name change strengthens their mission to support the country’s most at-risk populations.

While Zamzam Foundation UK remains an independent legal entity, the partnership enables closer alignment with the Somali organization’s mission. The UK branch has launched a new website and social media platforms to engage donors, share updates, and expand its reach as part of its efforts to support this initiative.

Since its founding in 1992, the Zamzam Foundation has established itself as a pillar of humanitarian work in Somalia. The organization’s track record includes delivering aid to remote areas and collaborating with global charities like Save the Children and Oxfam.

“In 1992, when Zamzam was founded, Somalia was shrouded in darkness, and hope for the future seemed a distant dream,” reflected Omar Jama, Executive Director of Zamzam Foundation. “Today, our work represents a beacon of hope for all Somalis, and this partnership with SRDF under the name Zamzam Foundation UK will allow us to expand our reach and impact.”
